Chempazhanthy Manakkal Temple – History

Chempazhanthy Manakkal temple is located at Chempazhanthy in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Ootuparampu Ardhanareeswari temple is located at Oottuparambu  near Kadakkavoor in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Murukkumpuzha Sree Kalakandeshwaram Temple

Murukkumpuzha Sree Kalakandeshwaram temple is located at Mundakkal in Murukkumpuzha, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The temple is without any particular deity – the sanctum has a panchaloha prabha with ‘om’ written in the temple. This unique pratishta was done by Sri Narayana Guru on kollavarsham 1097 Dhanu 8. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple is based on the concept of Advaita. It is said that when the people of the region were getting ready to install Kalakanda murti, Sri Narayana Guru did not agree with the decision.
