Teej vrat is an important Hindu ritual observed by Hindu women. Mundayur Mahadeva temple, also known as Mundur Shiva temple, is located at Mundur in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva and is one among the 108 Shiva temples in Kerala. The temple is one among the 108 Shiva temples in Kerala. The darshanam of Mundayur Mahadeva temple is towards east. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Bhagavathi and Sastha. Mundamuka Ayyappan Kavu temple, also known as Mundamuka Vadakke Sree Dharmasastha kshetram, is located at Mundayil near Shoranur in Palakkad district, Kerala. The temple, which lies on the banks of Bharathapuzha River, is one of the 108 Ayyappa temples in Kerala. The temple is referred to in Ayyappan Thottam Pattu, which narrates about the 108 Ayyappan kavukal in Kerala. The murti of Ayyappa worshipped is that of Prabhasathyaka Samethanaya Sastha. The darshanam of Mundamuka Ayyappan Kavu is towards east. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Bhagavathy, Vishnu and Ganapathy. The 10-day annual festival begins on Uthram Nakshatra in Meenam month (March – April) with Kodiyettam. Anilas In Hinduism

Anilas are Gana Devatas in Hinduism. They are closely associated with Indra, the king of Devas or demigods. There are 49 Anilas. Thunder and lightning are their weapons. Story Of Anilas Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu were the sons of Sage Kashyapa and Diti. The sons were killed by Bhagavan Vishnu. Diti wanted to avenge the death of her sons and for that she requested her husband to provide with a powerful son. Sage Kashyapa fulfilled the wish of Diti and asked the pregnant Diti to meditate for 10,000 years. Indra who came to know about this entered the womb of Diti when she was sleeping and cut the growing fetus into 49 parts. The 49 parts later became known as Anilas.

Muchukunnu Kottayil Shiva Temple – Information – Facts – History

Muchukunnu Kottayil Shiva Temple is located at Muchukunnu in Moodadi, Kozhikode district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva and is located inside a 4 acre grove (kavu).
