Birth Of Lord Rama - Story

Story of birth of Lord Rama on earth begins with King Dasaratha of Ayodhya deciding to perform Ashwamedha Yagna to have children. The decision is welcomed by the sages and they all proceeded to make the necessary arrangements of the yaga. Sumantra, the charioteer, then reminds King Dasaratha of something he has heard from elders and tells him that Sage Rishyashringa should preside over the yajna. Sumantra then requests King Dasaratha to discuss the matter with Sage Vasistha and others. The sages were too happy to have Rishyashringa preside over the Ashvamedha Yaga. When the Ashvamedha yagna was drawing to a close, King Dasaratha requests Rishyashringa to perform Putrakama yajna to beget a son. When the yajna was drawing to a close, a divine form appeared on the yajna fire and handed over a golden bowl with ‘payasa’ (sweet) to King Dasaratha. The king distributed the sweet to his three queens and a year later they gave birth to four sons – Lord Ram, Lakshman, Bharata and S

Eight Fold City In Shiva Philosophy In Hinduism

Eight fold city – puryastaka – is a metaphysical analysis in Shaiva Siddhanta (Shiva Philosophy) in Hinduism. In this excellent exposition of the nature of the world, the place of the atman (being) and the role and character of Shiva are given. From the invisible forces like egoity and action and its fruits, the siddhantins switched on to the visible world and the human body by linking the above two while elucidating the evolutes of maya. Samkya’s twenty four evolutes are retained by the Shiva followers as the product of Shuddha Shuddha Maya or prakriti maya. The first five tattvas are pure and are known as Shiva Tattvas. The next seven are impure and are known as ashuddha maya or vidya tattvas. These two are causal entities, since they do not emerge from others. Prakriti maya emerges from ashuddha maya and therefore it is the effect of things. ‘Ma’ means dissolution and ‘ya’ means evolution. The world resolves in maya and evolves from it again. Only Positive Attitude Can Push Us Towards Success

Only positive attitude can push us towards success. First and foremost believe in yourself. Only a peaceful mind can generate enough power to overcome obstacles in life. Instead of fuming and fretting, be the change that we want to bring about. Always expect the best. A humble and reasonable confidence in one’s abilities is must to achieve success in the world. Correct self-confidence leads to self-realization. All acts performed without any attachment in the spirit of service to Bhagavan, cleanse the mind and point the way to liberation. www.hindu-blog.com Abhilash Secret Of Success In Gita Sri Krishna says: Actions pollute me not, nor have I a desire for the fruit of actions. He who knows Me thus is not bound by actions. Thus knowing, men of old performed action in the hope of liberation; therefore do thou also perform action as did the ancients in olden times. What is action? What is inaction? Even the wise are deluded as to this. I shall teach thee such actio
