Shiva Sayana Vrata, or Shiva Sayana Chaturdasi, is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is observed on the 14th day of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of moon) in Ashada Month. In 2023, Shiva Sayana Chaturdashi and Vrata begins on July 2. Hareli festival is an agrarian festival observed in Shravan month in Chhattisgarh. It is the day when farmers worship their farm equipment, cows and other livestock. Hareli Festival 2023 date is July 17. On the Hareli festival day, farmers place branches and leaves of Bhelwa tree in their farm and pray for a good harvest in the coming season. People also hang neem branches in front of their home to prevent diseases as it is the peak monsoon season. Walking on bamboo known as gedi is held during the period.
