Send Rakhi for Raksha Bandhan 2007 by India Post

Indian Postal Service has launched a new set of Rakhi envelopes for Raksha Bandhan 2007, which is on August 28. The special Premium Rakhi envelopes issued by India Post comes in four new designs and are of tear and water resistant besides very light to keep the Rakhi mail within the basic weight limit. The cost per envelope is Rs 5, the postage charge is extra.The envelopes are available in all head post offices and in select sub post offices through out India. Hindu Prayer by Rajan Zed to Open California Senate Session on August 27

First it was in the Nevada State Assembly, then Nevada Senate, then U S Senate and now it is in California Senate. Hindu Prayers by Rajan Zed opened the sessions at all these places in 2007. The U S senate Hindu prayer was sadly noted more for the disruption caused by three Christian protestors. On August 27, 2007 the California Senate Session will open with Rajan Zed’s Hindu Prayer.So what does Rajan Zed’s Hindu Prayer consist of? The prayer starts with ‘OM.’ He then reads Sanskrit verses from the Rig Veda – the oldest scripture in the world. He then follows up with the English translation. Then few verses from the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita and its English translation. The prayer ends with ‘OM’. Rajan Zed’s Hindu prayer is dedicated to Brahman – the imperishable and that which is present in all animate and inanimate. The quotes from Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita extol universal truth.
