This Muslim girl recites Bhagavad Gita with ease

Eleven-year-old Salma Sultana from Godur in Ibrahimpatnam Mandal of Karimnagar District in Andhra Pradesh secured State-level second prize in Bhagavad Gita reciting competitions conducted by Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Hyderabad. She recites Sanskrit slokas from Bhagavad Gita with ease and accuracy. In a chat with The Hindu on Tuesday, Salma said, "I have developed the habit of reading Bhagavad Gita because it is interesting when others recite the slokas." She said that she was able to recite all the slokas of Bhagavad Gita and is now planning to recite even the Holy Quran.

The famous Mahabharat series on Doordharsan of the 1990s is now available on the Internet. B R Chopra’s Mahabharata is available on (rajshri)The series can be watched on the mobile phones via Reliance Communications. 51-hour recitation of Hindu scriptures by Indore's Mohammad Yusuf

Indore’s Mohammad Yusuf is in his 70s and is a practicing Muslim. Recently he conducted at 51-hour long recitation of Hindu scriptures to strengthen Hindu-Muslim unity. He recited the Sunderkand from Tulsidas' Ramayana, the Ganesh Vandana, the Hanuman Chaalisa and some passages from the Kishkindha Kand and Bal Kand of Ramayana. (via)This simple and innocent man believes that his attempt will bring peace among the two communities.
