Complete Works Of Rabindranath Tagore In Bengali And English

Website dedicated to the complete literary works of Rabindranath Tagore in Bengali and English is titled Bichitra Tagore Online Variorum. The work is sponsored by Ministry of Culture, Government of India and was created by School of Cultural Texts and Records, Jadavpur University in collaboration with Rabindra-Bhavana, Visva-Bharati. The website includes digital images of all available manuscripts of Tagore as also important print versions. It runs into 47,520 pages of manuscripts and 91,637 pages of printed books and journals. The website has not included most letters, speeches, textbooks and translations (except Tagore's translations from his own Bengali). Link – You can visit the website here

Budha Amarnath Yatra to Budha Amarnath Temple in Jammu and Kashmir

Budha Amarnath Yatra is annually held in Shravan month to the famous Swami Budha Amarnath Ji Temple dedicated to Hindu God Shiva. The temple is around 25 km northeast of Poonch town in Jammu and Kashmir . The yatra begins on the 3rd day (August 15) of the waxing phase of moon in Shravan month. Goddess Varahi

Goddess Varahi is one of the seven mother goddesses or Sapta Matrikas. Goddess Varahi takes her name from Varaha – one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. She has same weapons and ornaments as Varaha. Some scholars and texts are also of the view that Varahi is Lord Yama’s energy. Varahi is often depicted as having the face of a boar and her skin complexion is that of the storm cloud. She is sometimes depicted as four armed. Story of Badrinath Temple and Badari Tree

Badrinath Temple is associated with the Badari Tree (Ber, Jujube, Indian plum). At Badrinath, Bhagvan Srihari Vishnu is doing penance. It is said that once Sage Narada rebuked Vishnu for indulging in world pleasures. The Lord then decided to do penance at Badrinath.
