Jambudvipa in Hindu Religion

Jambudvipa is the name of one of the seven islands on earth mentioned in Hindu scriptures. It is named after Jambun or rose apple tree. Jambudvipa is interpreted either roughly as the northern hemisphere or the region in Asia with India and adjacent regions and islands. Kumbottu Chamundi theyyam is a rare theyyam performed in a couple of temples in Kasaragod region of Kerala. As per information, the theyyam is a fierce manifestation of Devi or Goddess Durga Bhagavathy. The story of Kumbottu Chamundi theyyam is that of her appearing from a homa or yajna kunda (sacrificial fire) and appearing before the head of a prominent tharavad of the region. Four Types Of Creation In Hindu Religion

There are four types of creation in Hindu religion and this secret was revealed to Daksha by Brahma. The four types of creation takes place in the beginning of the cycle of a creation. Sankalpa Srishti – This is the creation by will and it is the primary mode of creation. This is the greatest and noblest form of creation and is the exclusive prerogative of the Supreme Truth or Brahman. Creation begins with the will of the Supreme Being. Sandarsna Srishti – In this form creation takes place by a mere look. The male form can impregnate the female form with a mere look in this kind of creation. Sparsha Srishti – In this form the female conceives at the mere touch of the male. Samparka Srishti – The offspring is produced by the conjugal or genital union of male and female bodies. Just as havis, the ritual offering, is placed in the pit of the sacrificial fire, the male inserts his seed into the female’s womb, where it fertilizes her egg, develops and takes birth as progeny.

Kottakeezhil Bhagavathi Theyyam – Information – Story

Kottakeezhil Bhagavathi theyyam is a rare powerful Mother Goddess theyyam worshipped in a few kavu, tharavadu and temples during the annual theyyam, thira, kaliyattam festival in Kannur region of North Kerala. As per information, this is a ferocious form of Goddess Bhagavathy. As per Kottakeezhil Bhagavathi story, she appeared to defeat demons but her uncontrollable fury caused disturbance in the region. Sri Ranganatha Ramayanamu – Ramayana In Telugu

Sri Ranganatha Ramayanamu is a Telugu version of the Ramayana that has been set to music. Ramayana literature in Telugu is ancient and continuous, besides being rich and varied.
