Sri Khodiyar Mata Jayanti – Goddess Khodiyar Jayanthi

Sri Khodiyar Mataji Jayanti is observed on the eighth day (Ashtami) during the waxing phase of moon (Shukla Paksha) in Magh Month. Goddess Khodiyar Mata Jayanti 2019 date is February 13. Sashti Viratham, or Shasti, is a Hindu fasting day dedicated to Hindu God Muruga or Kartik. Sashti Viratham March 2017 date is March 3 in India. In some regions it is marked on March 4. Shasthi is the sixth day after Amavasi (no moon) and Poornima (full moon) in a traditional Hindu calendar. The Sashti after Amavasi is considered highly auspicious by Muruga devotees and fasting is performed on the day.
