Sindhoor Tritiya 2017 Date – Navratri Sindoor Tritiya on Third Day

Sindhoor Tritiya is observed on the third day of the 9-day Navratri festival. Sindhoor Tritiya 2017 date is September 22 during Ashwin Navratri. During Chaitra Navratri 2017 it is observed on March 30. Ravana Shaking Mount Kailash – The Story

Ravana was arrogant and proud of his physical strength. He wanted to show off his powers. To impress Shiva, he once attempted to shake the Kailash Mountain. Ravana used all his strength but could not remove his hands from under the Holy Mountain. To remove his fingers and escape from the pain and impending death, Ravana sang the Shiva Tandava Stotram.
