Vishnu Sahasranamam is one of the most popular prayers dedicated to Hindu God Vishnu. Vishnu Sahasranama consists of the 1000 names of Vishnu. This is a free pdf version of the Vishnusahsranamam in English.  There are a couple of versions of the prayer. This is particular version is the one found in the Mahabharata.

Pandava Panchami 2017 Date

Pandava Panchami is associated with the exile of the Pandavas in the Mahabharata. Pandava Panchami 2017 date is October 25. It is believed that Pandavas completed the 13-year exile on this day and is annually observed on the fifth day of the waxing phase of moon (Shukla Paksha) in Kartik month as per traditional Hindu calendar.
Pandavas had to go on a 13-year exile after losing the game of dice to the Kauravas.
On the Pandava Panchami day, Arjuna appeared before the Kaurava Army to defendthe kingdom of Virata.

Bhishma reminded Duryodhana that the Pandavas had completed the 12-year exile in forest and one year of disguise among people on the Kartik Shukla Panchami day.
