Purnima Date and Time in April 2011 – Full moon day

Purnima is the full moon day in a traditional Hindu lunar calendar. In South India, the full moon day is known as Pournami. Purnima date is April 18, 2011. Time is from 10:56 AM on April 17 to 8:33 AM on April 18. Some Hindu communities observe a fast on the Poornima day from morning to evening on the day. The fast is on April 17, 2011. The Purnima in April 2011 is the Chaitra Poornima. April 18, 2011 is observed as Hanuman Jayanti. Vaishakh Snan also begins on the day.
