Tukadoji Maharaj (1909 – 1968) was a great social reformer in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, who lived for the betterment of millions of Indians. Tukadoji Maharaj Jayanti is observed on April 30, 2025. His literary work, Gramgeeta, gives ideas about the developments needed in villages and how to implement them for a better future of the country. The Jayanti, or birth anniversary, is annually held on April 30. In 2025, it is the 116th birth anniversary of Tukadoji Maharaj.

Tukdoji Maharaj worked tirelessly to bring about social and economic development in rural Maharashtra and this earned him the title Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj. He actively participated in the independence movement and was also jailed by the British. He initiated man social reform movements and struggled hard against blind faith, untouchability and superstition.
