Brahmotsavam September 2007

The annual Srivari Brahmotsavam festival celebrated in Tirumala Tirupati will be held from September 15 to September 23 in 2007. It must be noted that this year there is an Adhika Masam and therefore there will be two Brahmotsavams – the Srivari (Salakatla) Brahmotsavams and the Navratri Brahmotsavams. The nine-day Brahmotsavam of Lord Venkateswara is expected to attract millions of devotees. Below is the usual schedule followed during the Brahmotsavam festivals in Tirupati. On the preceding day of the first day of Lord Balaji Brahmotsavam, the Ankurarpana and Senadhipati Utsavam will be celebrated. This year it is on September 14th 2007.On September 15th – Brahmotsavam Day One morning, Dhwajarohana (flat hoisting) will be conducted by hoisting the Garuda dhwaja, a flag with the emblem of a black garuda (eagle).
