Tantric University in Kerala – Why the fuss?

G Sudhakaran, Minister for TempleAffairs in Kerala, hinted at establishing a TantricUniversity to arrest the falling standards of rituals performed in the temples. The minister for quite sometime has been lashing out at the spiritually ignorant and corrupt priests in the state. He expressed his views before the Justice K S Paripoornam Commission, which is probing the alleged corruption in the Devaswom Board – the temple governing body in Kerala.Indian Express reportsThe minister said top Hindutva scholars, Vedic exponents, and spiritual gurus will be roped in as faculty. The university will run courses for aspiring priests, besides running continuing education programs for those already working in temples. Comic Book on Uma the Mother Goddess

The fourth book in the Deepak Chopra’s India Authentic series is based on the story of Uma or Parvati and her reunion with Lord Shiva. Multiplayer Online Video Game Based on Ramayan 3392 A.D.

Ramayan 3392 A.D.? ? It is a comic series from Virgin Comics in which Ramayana is played out on a futuristic realm. The comic series inspired by the immortal epic Ramayan in its futuristic version sells violence in the name of duty, honor, and sacrifice and occasionally peppered with Hindu elements like karma. Now, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) and Virgin Comics are planning to develop multiplayer online video game based on Ramayan 3392 A.D.From Virgin Comics blogThrough this exclusive multi-year, worldwide license agreement, SOE will develop and publish an MMO based on Ramayan’s story of mythological lore. Virgin Comics will serve as a creative consultant on the project. Acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, a co-founder of Virgin Comics, will also be involved with the project.
