Jharkhand Lunar Eclipse Time on September 7, 2025 – Chandra Grahan time in Ranchi

A total lunar eclipse, or Chandra Grahan, will be visible in Jharkhand on September 7, 2025. The Chandra Grahan will be visible in  Ranchi , Jamshedpur , Dhanbad, Bokar, Deoghar, Giridih and other towns from  9:57 PM on September 7 to 1:26 AM on September 8  – as per Indian standard time. Detail Timing of Lunar Eclipse in Jharkhand - September 7, 2025 The eclipse starts at 8:58 PM on Sept 7 Touching - 9:57 PM on Sept 7 Total Eclipse begins at 11:01 PM on Sept 7 Mid eclipse is at 11:42 PM on Sept 7 Total Eclipse ends - 12:23 AM on Sept 8 Eclipse ends at 1:26 AM on Sept 8 The Grahan takes place during midnight and it is visible to the naked eye. Those Hindus following Grahan fasting and rituals need to follow it. All temples will remain closed 9 hours before the grahan and will only open next day morning after pujas and purification rituals.

Sarhul Festival – Sarhul Festival and Puja in Bihar and Jharkhand

Sarhul Festival is observed in Bihar and Jharkhand by Tribal people. On the day people offer pujas and prayers to village deities for a good agriculture season, plentiful forest, peace and prosperity. In 2026, Sarhul Festival is on March 21. It is also the New Year of the various tribes in the region. The period is when new seeds are sown and there it is also the festival of sowing of seeds. The wedding season begins with the festival. During this festival, people pray to elements of nature. A dance is performed around trees on the day. Tribes all across Jharkhand and Bihar celebrate Sarhul with great enthusiasm. A highlight of the festival is the traditional dances performed by men, women and children who are dressed up in colorful ethnic attires for the occasion. Anjan Dham, also known as Anjani Mandir, is a temple dedicated to Anjani or Anjana, mother of Hanuman. The murti or idol of Anjani worshipped in the temple is of Mother Anjani sitting with Bal Hanuman in her lap. The temple is located on the banks of Khatwa River amid the hills of Netarhat. Baba Kapileshwar Mandir at Pandra Village near Nirsa in Dhanbad, Jharkhand – Nirsa Shiva Temple

Baba Kapileshwar Mandir is an ancient temple dedicated to Shiva at Pandra Village near Nirsa in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The temple is around 30 km from Dhanbad. It is believed that Pandavas visit the place during their exile period in the Mahabharata. The popular belief is that Yudhishtira, the eldest of the Pandavas, installed the Shivling worshipped in the shrine. Ramtirth Mandir is located on the banks of Baitrani River at Jagannathpur, around 65 km from Chaibasa in Jharkhand. Vandevi Temple at Jamshedpur is dedicated to Goddess Kali. She is the presiding deity of the city of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand . Van Devi mandir is also known as the main dwar or gate of the city. Hari Mandir at Dhanbad in Jharkhand

Hari Mandir is located within Dhanbad town limits in Jharkhand. The shrine is dedicated to Lord Vishnu or Hari. The main murti worshipped in the temple is that of Radha Krishna and is believed to be more than 100 years old. Ram Mandir at Bistupur in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand

Built in 1919, Ram Mandir at Bistupur is one of oldest temples in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The huge 2-acre temple campus has temples dedicated to Ram Parivar, Balaji and Radhakrishna. Andhra Bhakta Shree Ram Mandiram Trust maintains the temple. In the Ram Mandir, murti of Bhagavan Sri Ram is flanked by Mata Sita and Lakshman and is placed on an elevated area. Benisagar in Jharkhand – Hindu Worship and Temples at Benisagar

Benisagar is located on the Orissa – Jharkhand border and is around 85 km from Chaibasa. It is an Archeological Survey of India notified site and excavation works are still going on. There is no proper temple structure. Hanuman, Mata Basuri (manifestation of Goddess Durga), Ganesh and Shivling are worshipped here. Maa Basuri is depicted as killing Demon Mahishasura. The most important festival observed here is Shivratri. There is no prayer in the evening here. Fruits and sweets like laddoo are offered as Bhoga here. Kapileshwar Jiu Temple at Kokpara in Jharkhand

Kapileshwar Jiu Temple, believed to be more than 2400 years old, is located on National Highway 33 at Kokpara in Jharkhand. The temple is of great importance from historical and religious point of view. The present temple structure built in 1955 is a simple one. The original temple, which is located below the present shrine, was of 20feet width and was destroyed by Kala Pahad. Legend has it that cows used to shed all their milk at a particular spot in the region. When the place was dug up the Shivling was revealed. Kera Mata Temple near Chakradharpur in Jhardhand – Kera Ma Mandir

Kera Mata Temple is located on the banks of Brahmini River in Kera Village and is around 10 km from Chakradharpur in Jharkhand. Believed to have been built around 300 years ago, the shrine is dedicated to Ma Bhagavati (Goddess Shakti) and was established by the King of Kera. She is also known as Sadarupani. The black murti of Maa Kera is 7 inches in height and is made of Ashtadhatu. She wears a silver crown and has a chattri made of silver above her head. There is nothing noteworthy about the architecture of the temple. A pillar in front of the shrine is noted for a four-headed lion. Sculptures and painting adorn the walls of the shrine.
