Amareswara Temple at Raichur in Karnataka

Amareswara Temple , dedicated to Hindu God Shiva, is located at Gudagunte near Raichur in Karnataka. There are numerous legends regarding the appearance of Shiva was Amareswara – two important stories – one is that of Mahiravana (maternal uncle of Ravana) getting a Shivling from Shiva for his sister’s worship.
