Eklingji Patotsav is an important ceremony held in Chaitra month as per traditional north Indian calendar at famous Eklingji Temple Lord Eklingji Temple
In Patotsav, the head of the presiding deity is covered with a strip of garment in patotsav.
The unique black marble Shivling has four faces – east face is of Surya or Sun God; west face is of Brahma, north face if of Vishnu and south face is of Shiva as Rudra. The Shiva Linga is garlanded by a silver snake.
It is held on the Shukla Paksha Navami tithi in Chaitra month.
