Surya Grahan July 2009 in UK – Solar Eclipse Details for Britain

The Surya Grahan, or Total Solar Eclipse, on July 22, 2009 is not visible in United Kingdom. We are getting too many comments and queries from pregnant women regarding the eclipse time in England. It is not visible in London or any part of Britain. The Grahan takes place in Asia and the time in India is from 05:29 AM to 07:40 AM. The corresponding Grahan time in Britain is 01:00 AM to 03:10 AM.The entire Total Solar Eclipse as per Indian standard time is from 05:28AM to 10:42 AM. The eclipse begins in the western parts of India passes through China and ends in the Pacific Ocean.When the Surya Grahan will be taking place in India, it will be night in United Kingdom. Ramayana Masam in Kerala – Malayalam Ramayan Month

Malayala Ramayana Masam is observed in the Malayalam month of Karkitakam (July – August) in the SouthIndianState of Kerala. In 2017, theRamayana Masambegins (date) on July 16 and ends on August 16. The entire month is dedicated to the recitation of the Adhyatma Ramayanam Kilippattu in the evening or morning. The Ramayan reading begins on the first day of the month and a portion of the epic is read on all days and is completely read by last day of the month. 

Adhyatma Ramayanam Kilippattu written by Thunchath Ezhuthachan is the most famous Malayalam version of the Epic Ramayan and this is chosen for recitation during Ramayana Masam.

The advertisement is a rip off of the popular image of Goddess Lakshmi sitting on a lotus. Goddess Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth and is the consort of Lord Vishnu. She is one of the most popular deities in Hindu religion and is the patron deity of traders. The advertisement is no doubt inappropriate and insulting. It hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus. It shows Goddess Lakshmi sitting on meat. It must be remembered that cow is worshipped in Hinduism and majority of Hindus are vegetarians.Burger King is a global chain of hamburger fast food restaurants. Shravan Month (July – August) is one of the holiest months in a Hindu calendar and is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. A devout Hindu worships Lord Shiva in numerous ways. Mauna Panchami

Mauna Panchami, or Mouna Panjami, is observed on the fifth day during the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of moon) in the month of Shravan. In 2017, the date of Mauna Panchami is July 27. Sawan or Shravan is one of the holiest months in a traditional Hindu calendar followed in North India. Numerous observances and rituals are held in the month.

Mauna Panchami is associated with the worship of Snake God in some regions. Khir and Ghorjaur are given to the snake gods. Dry vegetables and fruits like mangoes and jack fruit are also offered to the Snake Gods or Nagas.

Some people also chew neem leaves along with lemon, mango seed and pomegranate on the day. This is believed to help in removing poison from the body.
