Sree Edapanni Cheviri Tharavadu Karodivalappu Vayanattu Kulavan Devasthanam Temple – Theyyam Kaliyattam Festival

Sree Edapanni Cheviri Tharavadu Karodivalappu Vayanattu Kulavan Devasthanam temple is located at Edapanni near Tharamthatta and Bedradka in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vayanattu Kulavan and other warrior deities. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival held in Malayalam Kumhbha Masam (February – March) is famous for some unique and rare theyyams.

The temple has a chathura sreekovil with a traditionally decorated roof.

The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Sree Edapanni Cheviri Tharavadu temple are Edavungal Gulikan (ഇടുവുങ്കാല്‍ ഗുളികന്‍), Karnavar theyyam, Koracchan theyyam, Kandanar Kelan theyyam, Vayanattu Kulavan theyyam and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.

The festival begins with the Kalavaranirakkal ritual.
