Padiyil Vayanattukulavan temple is located at Padiyil near Pariyaram in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vayanattukulavan and other warrior deities. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival at Pariyaram Paarakandi Padiyil Vayanattu Kulavan temple is held for two days in Malayalam Meena Masam – (Meenam 1 and Meenam 2) March 14 and March 15.
This is a small temple with a chatura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum with traditionally decorated roof for the main deity. The other deities are worshipped in smaller sanctum, atop small raised square platform and under trees. Sankranti in a Malayala Masam is of great significance here.
