Sree Kozhichiyil Bhagavathy Kavu temple is located at Ezhome in Kannur district, Kerala. This is beautiful traditional Kerala style Bhagavathy temple with a pond and chathura sreekovil. Ezhome Sree Kozhichiyil Bhagavathy Kavu temple theyyam – kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 25 to Dhanu 27 (Dec 25 to Dec 27).
Valiya Kaliyattam festival is held once in two years.
The main rituals and pujas are held on Sankranthi day as per traditional Malayalam calendar. Vishu is an important puja day in the temple.
The important theyyams that are part of the annual theyyam – thira festival in the temple are Kundor Chamundi theyyam, Kurathi theyyam, Puthiya Bhagavathy theyyam, Thaiparadevatha theyyam, Nagakanni or Nagakanya theyyam, Veera Kali theyyam, Veeran theyyam and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.
Temple art forms, melam, procession, various pujas and rituals are part of the annual festival.
