Radha Pada Darshan At Sakshi Gopal Temple 2024 In Odisha On Amla Navami Day – Worshipping Feet Of Radha
Sakhigopal temple, or Sakshi Gopal temple, is located at Sakhi Gopal village, around 20 km from Puri in Odisha. The annual Radha Pada Darshan at the temple on Amla Navami day attracts nearly half a million devotees. Radha Pada Darshan 2024 date at Sakhigopal temple is November 10. The feet of the murti of Radha, which is covered throughout the year, is shown to devotees only on the ninth day during the waxing phase of moon in Kartik month.
On this day Radha Rani is attired in traditional Odissi Saree instead of her usual attire of Ghagra Choli. Hence her feet are visible on this day and devotees consider it auspicious to see the feet of Goddess Radha Rani and worship it.
The festival is annual held on Shukla Paksha Navami tithi or the ninth day during the waxing phase of moon in Kartik month.
Goddess Radha is adorned in a special attire called Odiani Besha on the day (she wears a typical Kachha costume) while Bhagavan Sri Krishna is dressed in Natabar Besha.
On the occasion various different kinds of bhog or food offerings are offered to the deities.
The deities are also adorned with large number of gooseberries.
