Gorkallu Venkateswara Swamy temple is located around 40 km from the famous temple of Mantralayam. This ancient temple is unique as the sanctum sanctorum has a murti of Sri Venkateswara in sitting posture. The murti of Venkateswara Swamy or Balaji is in standing posture in most temples.
Yet another specialty of the temple is that rays of the Sun fall at the feet of the murti at sunrise.
