Thricherpuram Sri Sankaranarayana Temple – Festival – Bali Tharpanam

Thricherpuram Sri Sankaranarayana temple is located at Padimon on Mallappally - Ezhumattoor Road near Vaipur in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to the combined form of Shiva - Mahadeva and Vishnu. The shrine is famous for performing rituals for departed ancestors especially on Karkidaka Vavu Bali day in Karkidakam month.

This is a small shrine but with an ancient murti. The main temple has a vatta sreekovil. There is another chathura sreekovil in the temple compound. There are no other structures in the compound except for the namaskara mandapam.

The temple observes various important rituals associated with Hindu temple in a calendar year including Vishu, Ramayana Masam, Niraputhari, Ramayana Masam, Thrikarthika, Thiruvathira and Shivratri.

Ashtami Rohini is observed with great enthusiasm in the temple.
