Peroor Subramanian Swamy temple is located at Peroor near Ettumanoor in Kottayam district Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Subrahmania or Muruga, son of Shiva. The temple is famous for the annual Thaipooyam festival in Makaram month (January – February).
This is a small temple but one which follows all the traditional Kerala style temple architecture.
Sashti day falling during waxing phase of moon or after Amavasya is of great importance in the temple. Skanda Sashti in Thula month (October – November) is an important day for the temple.
