Kurumakkavu Temple - Goddess Worshipped - Festival

Kurumakkavu Temple is located on Wadakkanchery – Kunnamkulam road around 3 km from Ottupura. The annual festival in the temple is observed on Kumbha Sankramanam.

The main deity worshipped in the temple is Goddess Bhadrakali. It is believed that Goddess is Mookambika Devi. The Prathishta is kannadishila and the deity faces east. There is a pond in front of the temple. The priest of the shrine is Paradeshi Brahmanan.

The temple originally belonged to two families Kottaram and Panikathu. Later it was given to Avanamparambumana by the Kochi king.
