Dhairya Lakshmi is one among the numerous forms of Goddess Lakshmi. She is worshipped for improving self-confidence. She also helps in achieving courage to overcome physical and mental difficulties. Below is Goddess Dhairya Lakshmi puja vidhi or procedure along with mantra. This is a simple guide on how to perform Dhairya Lakshmi Devi Puja and is ideal for performing it at home.

श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं धैर्यलक्ष्म्यै नमः

When to Perform Goddess Dhairya Lakshmi Puja?

The ideal day to perform the puja:
  • Friday
  • Sashti Tithi – the sixth day of the waning or waxing phase of moon. The sixth day after full moon (purnima) or no moon day (Amavasya).
  • When there is Mool or Moolam Nakshatram in a lunar month.
  • The puja becomes doubly auspicious when there is a combination of Mool or Moolam on Friday. Sashti Tithi and Mool Nakshatra together is also auspicious.
Among the eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi, Dhairya Lakshmi is the third form.

 Simple Goddess Dhairya Lakshmi Puja Vidhi

  • The puja should be performed early morning after sunrise or during the pradosh period (1.5 hours before sunset).
  • The murti (picture, photo or painting) of Goddess Dhairya Lakshmi should be placed on the northeast corner of the house on a pink color cloth.
  • The puja should be performed facing northeast.
  • The person performing puja should wear pink color clothes.
  • Take a kalash fill it with water and put a piece of gold and silver in it. Put some coins too in it. Close the kalash with a coconut. Keep this near the picture or sculpture or painting of Dhairya Lakshmi.
  • The lamp should be lit using pure cow ghee. One wick is preferred.
  • Dhoop should be of chandan.
  • Pink color flowers should be offered.
  • Offer uncooked rice.
  • Offer white sandalwood paste.
  • Offer dried awala (gooseberry).
  • Offer 11 dried turmeric piece.
  • Prepare food using rock sugar and rice. Kheer of rice with mishri is preferred. It should be later shared with family members and a married woman.
  • The mantra  श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं धैर्यलक्ष्म्यै नमः should be chanted 108 times. The count can be kept on any mala.
  • The water in the kalash should be deposited under a peepal tree.
  • Sound conch or shankh after puja to drive out poverty from the house.

Special Pujas

  • The uncooked rice offered to the Goddess should be given to birds this will help in avoiding accidents in life.
  • Keeping 11 dried turmeric piece offered to Goddess in locker or cupboard will help in alleviating financial problems.
  • Keeping dried gooseberry (awla) offered to Goddess in shop or business place will help in solving all kinds of problems.
