Bhagavad Gita on Yoga

That state in which the chitta, with its movements restrained by the practice of Yoga, finds rest;

In which is experienced the joy of Spirit born of the higher mind intuiting the Spirit;

In which the Yogi experiences that endless bliss which is beyond the knowledge of the senses but is intuited by the purified intellect;

Wherein established, one does not waver from the Truth;

Having obtained which no other gain is considered as greater;

Remaining in which one is not shaken even by the heaviest of afflictions; Know that severance of connection with pain as what is designated as Yoga.

Gita On Yogi
The serene person who is absorbed in God, living thus in peace, is the true renunciate. Maintaining an even mind in heat and cold, pleasure and pain, honor and disgrace marks the spiritually mature. Maintaining physical, mental, and intellectual balance no matter how difficult the challenge, leads to permanent cheerfulness, which is the sure sign of a yogi. – Bhagavad Gita, VI.7

Bhagavad Gita on What One Thinks

And he who at the time of death, meditating on Me alone, goes forth, leaving the body, attains My Being: there is no doubt about this. Gita Chapter VIII verse 5

Remembering whatever object, at the end, he leaves the body, that alone is reached by him, O son of Kunti, (because) of his constant thought of that object. Gita Chapter VIII verse 6

Therefore, at all times, constantly remember Me, and fight. With mind and intellect absorbed in Me, thou shalt doubtless come to Me. Gita Chapter VIII verse 7

With the mind not moving towards anything else, made steadfast by the method of habitual meditation, and dwelling on the Supreme, Resplendent Purusa, O son of Pritha, one goes to Him. Gita Chapter VIII verse 8
