Goddess Varahi and Lalitha Tripurasundari

Goddess Varahi in Shaivite tradition is associated with Goddess Lalitha Tripurasundari. As per this belief, Goddess Varahi is Dandanayika, the goddess who punishes those who follow Adharma. She also rewards those devotees who follow Dharma.

It is believed that Varahi stands by the side of Goddess Lalita. She takes commands from her and implements them.

She is also worshipped as one of the Saptamatrikas.

Goddess Varahi is also known as Kalamukhi Vartali.

It must be noted that in Vaishnava tradition, Goddess Varahi is the female counterpart of Varaha, the boar incarnation of Vishnu.
