Siddhanath Temple – Shiva Mandir at Ghanta Ghar Chowk in Baharaich in Uttar Pradesh

Siddhanath Temple is a popular Shiva Temple in Baharaich in Uttar Pradesh and is located in Ghanta Ghar Chowk area. Shiva is worshipped here as Baba Siddhanath. The temple was established by Yudhishtira of the Mahabharat during the Dwaparyuga. The temple is under the supervision of the Panchdashnam Joona Akdhada. Famous Sage Aughadnath Baba is believed to have meditated here.

The Shivling worshipped in the temple is considerably big and is swayambhu – formed on its own. The upper portion of the Shivling is 2ft high. A bronze five-headed naga forms a canopy over the Shivling. A rare rudraksha mala is placed on the hood of the naga.

Other deities worshipped in the temple include Ganesha, Kartik, Maa Parvati, Nandi and Surya. There are also murtis of Bhagvan Sri Rama and Radha Krishna in the temple complex.

Special darshan and puja are held during the Shravan month. Rudra abhishek, Mahamritunjaya, Mundan and Anushthan are performed in the month by devotees.

Baba Siddhanath is a wish fulfilling deity and therefore thousands of devotees arrive here to offer prayers to get their wishes fulfilled.
