Kumari Puja is performed on the eighth or the ninth day of
Navratri. Kumari Puja Mantra in Hindi is given below. It is chanted during Chaitra Navratri. The Pujan is performed
during both Chaitra Navratri (March – April) and Ashwin Navratri (September –
October). Young girl children between the age of 2 and 10 are offered new dress
and food on the day. They symbolically represent Goddess Shakti.
