Bhadrakali Temple at Kurukshetra – Shri Devi Koop

Bhadrakali Temple, also known as Shri Devi Koop, is one among the 51 shaktipeetahs. It is believed that the right heel of Goddess Sati fell here. It is believed that before the Kurukshetra War in the Mahabharata, Pandavas took blessings at this Bhadrakali Temple. The temple is located on the Jhansa Road and is north of Thanesar Town.

It is also believed that mundan sanskar – hair removing ceremony – of Sri Krishna and Balram was performed at the Bhadrakali Temple.
