Narasimha avatar appeared to annihilate Hiranyakashipu but what happened to the Narasimha avatar after the completion of the objective of killing Hiranyakashipu.
According to Hindu scriptures, after the completion of his
objective to annihilate the demon king Hiranyakashipu and restore cosmic
balance, Bhagavan Narasimha split himself into two distinct forms. The lion
part of Narasimha transformed into the sage Narayana, while the human part
became the sage Nara.
Following this transformation, Nara and Narayana embarked on
a spiritual journey and retired to Badarikashrama, a sacred place believed to
be located in the Himalayas. In Badarikashrama, they engaged in intense penance
and austerities, delving deeper into their spiritual practices.
Their retreat to Badarikashrama signifies a period of
profound meditation and spiritual contemplation, furthering their divine
purpose beyond the physical realm. As sages, Nara and Narayana are revered for
their wisdom, asceticism, and role in upholding the cosmic order in Hinduism.
