Vengara Sree Muchilottu Bhagavathy Kavu temple is located at Vengara in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Muchilottu Bhagavathi and numerous other deities. The kaliyattam theyyam thira festival is held once in a decade.
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Vengara Sree Muchilot Bhagavathy Kavu temple include Muchilottu Bhagavathy theyyam, Kannangat Bhagavathy theyyam, Narambil Bhagavathy theyyam, Puliyoor Kali, Puliyoor Kannan, Kundor Chamundi, Kurathi, Vishnumoorthi and Madayil Chamundi.
The temple has a small chathura sreekovil for the main
deity. The roof of the small shrine is decorated with traditional temple
motifs. There are other smaller sreekovils. Some deities are offered worship
under trees and upon raised platforms. The shrine observes important rituals
and festivities including Sankranti in every month.
