Kurumathur Sree Thattinumeethe Vishwakarma Bhagavathy Kavu temple is located at Kurumathoor in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vishwakarma, Bhagavathi and other popular deities worshipped in kavu and tharavadu in the region. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is observed for four days in Malayalam Meda Masam – Medam 15 to Medam 18 (April 28 to May 1).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Kurumathur Sree Thattinumeethe Vishwakarma Bhagavathy Kavu temple are Bali theyyam, Chandranellur Bhagavathi theyyam, Dharma Daivam theyyam, Gulikan theyyam and Thai Paradevatha theyyam.
The temple has a chathura sreekovil (square sanctum
sanctorum) for the main deity. Some deities are worshipped atop small square
platforms and under trees. The temple performs special pujas and rituals on
Sankranti day.
