Narikode Puthiyakunnathu Puthiya Bhagavathy temple is located at Narikode in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Puthiya Bhagavathy. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Vrischika Masam – Vrischikam 11 to Vrischikam 12 (November 27 to Nov 28).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Narikode Puthiyakunnathu Puthiya Bhagavathy temple are Bhadra Kali theyyam, Puthiya Bhagavathi theyyam, Veera Kali theyyam, Gulikan theyyam, Padarkulangara Veeran theyyam and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.
This is a small shrine with a chathura sreekovil for the
main deity. The roof of the shrine is traditionally decorated. There are other
smaller sreekovils and raised platforms for other deities. Sankranti in a
Malayalam month is of great importance.
