Padinhattam Kozhuval Nagacheri Bhagavathy temple is located at Padinhattam Kozhuval near Nileshwar in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Nagacheri Bhagavathi, Chamundi and Vishnumoorthi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Vrischika Masam – Vrischikam 13 to Vrischikam 15 (November 20 to December 1).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Padinhattam Kozhuval Nagacheri Bhagavathy temple are Kozhuval Bhagavathy theyyam, Padarkulangara Bhagavathi theyyam, Poomaruthan theyyam, Raktha Chamundi theyyam and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.
The main deity is worshipped in a small chathura sreekovil –
square sanctum sanctorum. The roof of the shrine is traditionally decorated
with religious motifs. Other deities are worshiped atop small square platforms
and under trees. Important pujas and rituals are performed on Sankranti day in
every Malayalam month.
