Erol Ambalathingal Vishnumoorthi temple is located at Erol (Yerol) near Kotappara in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vishnumoorthi (Narasimha Avatar of Bhagavan Vishnu). The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for six days in Malayalam Vrischika Masam – Vrischikam 12 to Vrischikam 17 (November 28 to December 3).

The temple has a traditionally decorated chathura sreekovil
for the main deity. Certain deities are worshipped atop small raised square
platform which are exposed to the elements. Some deities are worshipped under
trees. Main pujas and rituals are performed on Sankranti day as per traditional
Malayalam calendar.
