Eramam Mannummal Sree Kaninjeri Bhagavathy temple is located at Mannummal at Eramam in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy and other popular deities that are worshipped in temples, kavu and tharavadu homes in Kannur region. The annual theyyam – kaliyattam festival is held once in three years for two days in Malayalam Vrischika masam – Vrischikam 23 to Vrischikam 25 (December 9 to December 11).
The important theyyams that are part of the annual thira – kaliyattam festival at Eramam Mannummal Sree Kaninjeri Bhagavathy temple are Bali theyyam, Thuli Kolam, Thoovakkaran theyyam, Monthi Kolam, Guliyanja Bhagavathy, Vishnumurthy, Kundor Chamundi, Kurathi Amma, Thai Paradevatha theyyam and Kanicheri Bhagavathy theyyam.
The temple has a main chathura sreekovil for the main deity.
The roof and walls of the temple are decorated with traditional motifs. Other
deities that are popularly worshipped in tharavadu, kavu and temples in Kannur
region are worshipped in square platforms and small sreekovil. Yearly Vishu and
monthly Sankranti days are important in the temple.
