Siddhi Lakshmi Vrat, also known as Siddha Lakshmi Vrat, is observed on eighth day during the waxing phase of moon (Bhadrapad Shukla Paksha Ashtami tithi) in Bhadrapad month. Siddhi Lakshmi Vrat 2024 date is September 11. Devotees perform a fast on the day and offer prayers three times. It is believed that Goddess Siddha Lakshmi blesses her devotees with abundance, wealth and success. She is also associated with fertility, strength, growth and protection.
The devotee offers red color flowers, red sweet as prasad,
lal Chandan or red sandalwood paste is worn on forehead and offered to the
deity. Lamp is lit using mustard oil. A coconut smeared with Sindoor is
offered to the deity and later broken into two halves.
The fast concludes with a midnight puja and offering. The
coconut is broken into two halves at midnight on the day when Ashtami tithi is
present.
