Devara Gudde Shri Shaila Mahadeva Temple

Devara Gudde Shri Shaila Mahadeva temple is located at Ramdas Nagar near Kudlu in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadeva. The temple has a chathura sreekovil which faces east. There is a namaskara mandapam and chuttambalam. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathi, Devi, Subrahmanya and Nagas.


The temple conducts major yajnas and havan in certain years. Important day in a week in the temple is Monday. Fortnightly Pradosham is of great importance in the temple. The most important festival in a year is the Mahashivratri. Sashti and Nagara Panchami are observed here. Festivals dedicated to Ganesha and Devi are followed here.

A Shivling is worshipped in the main sanctum – pradhana sreekovil. There are other deities in the shrine at their respective positions.
