Vellarikundu Parappa Klayikkode Kottaram temple is located at Parappa near Vellarikundu in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vishnumoorthi, Gulikan, Kolachan, Goddess Chamundi and other deities that are worshipped in tharavadu, sacred places and kavu in Kasaragod region. The annual theyyam kaliyattam thira festival in the temple is held for two days in Malayalam Makara Masam – Makaram 28 to Makaram 29 (February 11 to February 12).
The theyyams that are performed at Vellarikundu Parappa Klayikkode Kottaram temple are Kolachan theyyam, Chamundi theyyam, Vishnumoorthi theyyam and Gulikan theyyam.
The temple has square sanctum sanctorum – chathura sreekovil
(s) for main deities. Other deities popularly worshipped in Kavu and temples in
Kasaragod region are also worshipped in the temple in small sreekovils, under
trees and on square platforms. Sankranti and Vishu are important days in the
temple.
