Vellarikundu Kakkayath temple is located at Vellarikundu in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari and other deities that are worshipped in tharavadu, sacred places and kavu in Kasaragod region. The annual theyyam kaliyattam thira festival in the temple is held for three days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 15 to Kumbam 17 (February 27 to March 1).
The theyyams that are performed at Vellarikundu Kakkayath temple
are Gulikan theyyam, Chamundi theyyam and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.
The temple has square sanctum sanctorum – chathura sreekovil
(s) for main deities. Other deities popularly worshipped in Kavu and temples in
Kasaragod region are also worshipped in the temple in small sreekovils, under
trees and on square platforms. Sankranti and Vishu are important days in the
temple.

- 28-ന് രാവിലെ 9.30ന് വിളക്കുപൂജ. ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് മഹാപൂജ. രാത്രി 9ന് തിടമ്പുനൃത്തം. തുടര്ന്ന് വിഷ്ണുമൂര്ത്തി ദേവസ്ഥാനത്ത് തെയ്യങ്ങളുടെ തോറ്റംപുറപ്പാട്.
- മാര്ച്ച് ഒന്നിന് പകല് ചാമുണ്ഡേശ്വരി, വിഷ്ണുമൂര്ത്തി, ഗുളികന് തെയ്യങ്ങള്.
