Chundangapoyil Kadambil Sasthappan temple, also known as Kadambil Kuttisasthappan temple, is located at Chundangapoyil near Ponniam in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Sasthappan. The theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Makara masam – Makaram 20 to Makaram 22 (February 3 to Feb 5).
This is a small shrine with a square sanctum sanctorum (chathura sreekovil) for the main deities. The roof and walls are traditionally decorated. Other deities are worshipped in smaller chathura sreekovil. Some deities are worshiped atop raised square platforms. Certain deities are worshiped under trees. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of significance here. Vishu festival is of importance here.
