Cheruvicheri Puthiya Bhagavathy temple is located at Cheruvicheri near Mathamangalam in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Puthiya Bhagavathi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for four days in Malayalam Makara Masam – Makaram 26 to Makaram 29 (February 9 to February 12).
This is a small temple with a chathura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum. The roof and walls of the main shrine are traditionally decorated. Upa devatas are worshipped under trees, small sanctum and atop raised square platform. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of great significance. Vishu is an important festival here.
