Banam Ponnamparampath Vishnumoorthy Temple – Theyyam Kaliyattam Thira Festival - Rare Agni Bhairavan Theyyam
Banam Ponnamparampath Vishnumoorthy temple is located on the Kalichanadukkam - Banam - Puliankulam Road at Banam in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vishnumoorthi. The annual theyyam thira kalityattam festival is held for five days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 5 to Kumbham 9 – February 17 to Feb 21. The shrine is famous for the rare Agni Bhairavan theyyam - അഗ്നിഭൈരവന്‍ തെയ്യം
This is a small temple with chathura sreekovil – square
sanctum sanctorum – for the main deities. The roof and walls of the main shrine
are traditionally decorated. Upa devatas are worshipped under trees, small
sanctum and atop raised square platform. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is
of great significance. Vishu is an important festival here.
The important theyyams that can be worshipped at Banam Ponnamparampath Vishnumoorthy temple are Agni Bhairavan theyyam, Chamundi Amma theyyam, Vishnumoorthi and Gulikan.

അഗ്നിഭൈരവന്‍ തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടും . പകല്‍ ചാമുണ്ഡി, വിഷ്ണുമൂര്‍ത്തി, ഗുളികന്‍തെയ്യങ്ങളുണ്ടാകും.
