Madakkali Dharma Daiva Guru Sthanam temple is located near Nalumukku – Aramkottam near Azhikode South in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Dharma Daivam, Thai Paradevatha and Vayanattu Kulavan. The annual kaliyattam theyyam thira festival is held in the shrine for three days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 25 to Kumbham 27 (March 9 to March 11).
This is a beautiful small shrine with a couple of Chatura sreekovil (s) – square sanctum sanctorum. The roofs of the sanctums are traditionally decorated with religious motifs. There is separate designated square raised platforms for other deities. Some deities are worshipped under trees. Sankranti is an important day in a Malayalam month here.
