Kadavathur Sree Palathayikunnu Bhagavathy Temple is located at West Palathayi, Elangode, in Kannur district, Kerala. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival in the temple is elaborate with numerous theyyam kolams and some of them are rare. The theyyam thira kaliyattam festival at Palathayikunnu Sree Bhagavathi temple is held for three days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 22 to Kumbham 24 – March 6 to March 8.
This is a small temple with a rectangular sanctum sanctorum.
The main deities worshipped in the temple are Bhagavathi and other deities that
are commonly worshiped in tharavadu, kavu and sacred places in Kannur region. There
are small chathura sreekovil and raised platforms dedicated to various deities.

Bhagavathy temple are Muthappan, Kuttichathan, Naga Bhagavathi, Thee
Kuttichathan, Kariyathan, Ghandakaranan, Payyamvelli Chandu, Kalari Bhagavathi,
Kootta Bhagavathi, Vishnumoorthi, Gulikan and Thaduthunda Muthappan.
