Chembunniyar Theyyam kolam is a rare theyyam seen during the annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival in Kannur and Kasaragod regions of Kerala. As per information, this theyyam is that of person who had lived during ancient times. It is a male theyyam. As per Chembunniyar theyyam story he performed a selfless act and attained martyrdom. To honor the divine act and sacrifice a theyyam is performed annually.

should not be seen by women.
